The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has detained Muyiwa Babalola Bolujoko, a former BRT driver, at Lagos airport for consuming 90 cocaine pellets.

He was detained on Monday, June 27, at the security checkpoint before boarding a Qatar Airways flight that was headed from Doha to Sharjah and was scheduled to land in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

In a statement released on Sunday, July 3, NDLEA spokeswoman Femi Babafemi said the 40-year-old had been kept under excretion monitoring after a body scan result showed that he had consumed a drug.

“The guy passed all 90 pellets in four excretions while he was being held.”

He asserted that he quit his N60,000 per month employment as a BRT driver in February and chose to work as a drug courier to raise money for the purchase of a shuttle bus popularly known as Korope in Lagos to carry on his transport company.
